Simply put, “team” is just business
language for “community”—the intersection of task and people. For thousands of
years, the Bible has spoken of using our giftedness in community. Strong
leadership emerges in Biblically-functioning, God-honoring, Christ-forming
community. On the other hand, since community is made of people, you can be
very sure every community is susceptible to dysfunction. So how do we develop
and sustain a group that doesn’t simply talk about teamwork, but is actually
the real deal—a healthy, high-performing team? The answer is to build a team that
is aligned with their gifts, makes good decisions, gets great results, and
loves working together. However to do this, there are five areas we will need
address in this seminar.
- ABSENCE OF TRUST
- FEAR OF CONFLICT
- TO MAKE A COMMITMENT
- AVOIDANCE OF ACCOUNTABILITY
- INATTENTION TO RESULTS
It is our prayer that we
can help congregations work together becoming the kind of team that God intends
for them to be. This seminar is designed to be very practical and hands on.
